On 16 April, Red42 is releasing a new print poster called The Power of Language. This rich and highly engaging resource developed by Niels Pflaeging and Silke Hermann covers more than 320 words and terms, distinguishing between "The Dark Side" of language and an alternative, more useful organizational language of "The light".
Niels Pflaeging outlines the history of the new Red42 product: "The poster's German version has been a hit in our product catalog for years. Since 2018 we have released three different editions of the poster, tweaking and improving the design over time, and adding more and more words. It wasn't easy to replicate this content in a different language, though."
The poster's content has occasionally sparked controversy online. Niels explains: "This is probably the most provocative resource that Silke Hermann and I have ever developed, as it calls upon people to question the very words they use in work, in team settings and in their organizations. The idea that we can and must question our language if we want to produce understanding, insight, learning, change, and performance is a bit unsetting, for some, at least at first glance. Which is why the poster has occasionally provoked strong responses on social media. On the other hand, people love it for its immediate usability in workshops and group interventions, and for the thought-provoking content that gets discussions going within seconds. You can discuss the poster's content for hours and take away surprising insights!"
The poster comes with a sticker with useful exercises for workshops and group interventions.
The poster in A1 print format will be released for shipment on 16 April. It can already be purchased (exclusively) through the Red42 web shop. International shipment is available. Attractive volume discounts start at orders of 10 copies.
